about

On Saturday, November 28th, the brilliant pianist Cristina Valdes (bit.ly/1NZXfJk) will be playing a number of pieces that I have written with her in mind.

Cristina came to Seattle from New York almost 10 years ago, and it has been an honor and a pleasure to have her premiere a number of my compositions for piano and more. The performance will be in Brooklyn, at Roulette (bit.ly/1j5WAZR) and will include 3 pieces from a series of etudes for piano and electronics, a rag of sorts, and "For Piano, Alone, In Four Parts". Movements III and IV are in todays download (recorded live in 2009).

Speaking of November 28th, the rest of the evening will include The Westerlies (bit.ly/1HTX3Kn), improvisations for piano and electronics by yours truly, and collaborations with Briggan Krauss and Yukio Suzuki.
