Number 1 in the Live Forever Series: a collection of live shows curated by Wayne Horvitz and Toby Dodds.
Volume 1 features a raging live set at CBGBs in 1987, with a who’s who of the 80s downtown NY scene. Additional tracks include 4 track demos, never released material from the “Bring Yr Camera” Power Station sessions, earlier studio demos from 1984, and material from two live shows, again at CBGBs, in 1982.
Download includes a digital booklet with an essay by Wayne about the origins of the band, the musicians, and the recordings. Plus band photos, posters, reviews and original sketches of the parts and scores for the tunes.

Artlessly Falling

Mary Halvorson is a genius composer and guitarist who has developed her own musical language, and with Code Girl she has incorporated poetry into that language. Incredible compositions and lyricism (each track is a different kind of poem). Halvorson's playing is as great as usual, and all the other members of the band sound great. Robert Wyatt's singing in particular works extremely well in the tracks he's featured. Highly, highly recommend.
